Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

  • Brief description

GMP is the abbreviation of "Good Manufacturing Practice" that focuses on product quality and hygiene practice during the manufacturing process. As the management mainly applies to the food, it is then called "Food GMP".

Food GMP was originated from the U.S. As it was very popular with the general public and the food industry, it was adopted by Japan, England, Singapore, and many developed countries. Except for the U.S. that has enforced the regulations on Food GMP, countries like Japan, Canada, Singapore, Germany, Australia, and China are still in the promotion period for GMP.
